Position Overview
The Lead OR Tech will oversee daily operations within the operating room radiology team, ensuring high-quality imaging and seamless collaboration during surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is an experienced X-Ray Technologist with proven leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for patient-centered care.
Job Responsibilities- Provide imaging support during surgical and interventional procedures in the operating room
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate the radiology tech team to ensure smooth OR operations
- Maintain and troubleshoot radiology equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff during procedures
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance standards
- Maintain accurate patient imaging records and documentation
- Support ongoing staff education and process improvement initiatives
Education and Certification Requirements- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT (R) certification required
- State of Arizona Radiologic Technologist license required (or ability to obtain before start date)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Operating Room experience highly preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
