Lead Operator (Night Shift)

Location: Arlington, TX

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Pay: Competitive pay based on experience

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5-7 years of manufacturing, converting, printing, finishing, or related production experience
• Experience operating converting and finishing equipment with minimal supervision
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Knowledge of machine setup, troubleshooting, quality standards, and production processes
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Lead Operator, Operator III, or production leadership experience
• Experience with inline equipment such as gluing systems, labeling equipment, rotary cutters, and ancillary equipment

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Operator to provide leadership on the production floor while safely operating converting and finishing equipment. This role is responsible for supporting production teams, maintaining quality standards, improving efficiency, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support production team members during daily operations
• Review job specifications, verify materials, and ensure accurate machine setup
• Operate converting and finishing equipment to meet quality, waste, and productivity standards
• Set up and operate inline finishing and ancillary equipment
• Monitor machine performance, print quality, registration, and tension controls
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor mechanical adjustments as needed
• Accurately record production data, materials usage, waste, and downtime
• Train and mentor operators as needed
• Identify process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain housekeeping standards
• Support effective communication and handoffs between shifts

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work around moving production equipment
