The Lead Neurodiagnostic Technologist ensures staff adherence to organizational and departmental policies, procedures and protocol. The Lead supervises the clinical performance of the EEG Department and expected to perform all the duties in the job description for an Neurodiagnostic Technologist I, II, III, IV when needed. In collaboration with Management, the Lead Neurodiagnostic Technologist works to support the day-to-day operations of the department. The Lead will also work in collaboration with Management and Medical Director creates to implement and evaluate EEG procedures and educational programs to support the EEG staff. Additionally, with support of the Medical Director and Manager of the Dept., will be involved in the competency program for all Technologists in the department including reviewing, revising and writing policy and procedures as well as completing the clinical assessment on the team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Associate degree preferred

5 to 7 years of clinical EEG experience is preferred

LICENSE and/or CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

Registered EEG Technologist. Certified by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists as well as complying with all certification requirements.

Certification Examination in Long Term Monitoring certificate (CLTM) or Certification Examination in Long Term Monitoring certificate within 3 years of employment in role.

Maintain Current CPR or BLS Healthcare certification

• Provide patient education utilizing Neurodiagnostic Lab specific protocols
• Respond to Neurodiagnostic patient's procedural-related inquiries
• Follow HIPPA policies to maintain the privacy and security of patient information
• Demonstrate experience in responding to unanticipated problems with equipment and/or patients
• Able to work both independently and work alongside multiple discipline team;
