JOB RELATIONSHIPS Reports to CMG Administrator DEFINITION OF POSITION The primary role of this position is to ensure efficient lab operations and regulatory compliance while maintaining a smooth patient flow through the clinic and lab. This position requires oversight, training, and leadership to maintain the quality and accreditation standards necessary for patient safety and compliance. The Lead MLT is responsible for ensuring COLA accreditation, training lab assistants, overseeing proficiency testing, and maintaining quality control standards across multiple CMG locations. This role also reviews LabCorp billing, assists in staffing coordination, and steps in as needed to support lab operations during high-volume periods or staff shortages. The Lead MLT is expected to set the tone for professional standards and contribute positively to the departmental culture. QUALIFICATIONS Professional Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program. Proficient in use of EMR system. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of medical terminology and lab-specific terminology. Minimum of two years of clinical lab experience (management or lead technician experience preferred). AHA BLD training and certification.
