Lead MIG Fabrication Welder — Galvanized & Carbon Steel

Step onto our 1st-shift floor and take point on precision metalwork that becomes custom ductwork and ventilation systems. From the first spark to the final finish, you’ll set the pace, uphold standards, and guide the build.

A day in the shop

You start by reviewing fabrication drawings and welding symbols, planning your sequence of fits and tacks. You stage materials, square frames, and MIG weld steel components, moving from tack-up to continuous welds and clean finish work. Throughout the day, you verify dimensions, maintain safety and accuracy, and keep your work area organized. You close out by prepping the next job and noting any consumables or tools you’ll need to purchase once training is complete.

Core responsibilities

• MIG weld steel components for custom ductwork and ventilation systems
• Interpret and execute blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Fit, tack, weld, and finish assemblies to spec
• Champion shop safety, quality, and accuracy
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Purchase your own tools after training is completed

What you bring

• MIG welding experience
• MUST HAVE Galvanized and Carbon Steel Experience
• Ability to read welding symbols and blueprints
• High attention to detail and safety
• Willingness to buy personal tools once trained
• Capability to perform physical fabrication tasks

Compensation & schedule

• Pay: $25–$32/hour based on experience
• Schedule: 1st Shift · Full-time · Permanent
