Med One Group, a trusted leader in medical equipment and healthcare financing for more than 25 years, is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Lead Medical Equipment Delivery Driver to join our team in Hayward, CA. This full-time, hourly position offers the opportunity to work independently while delivering, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining medical equipment for hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout the region. Essential Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary point of contact for employees during your shift in the absence of the Operations Manager.
- Provide guidance and support to drivers on your shift and help ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Complete Med One deliveries, pickups, and documentation thoroughly and without delay.
- Install and repair mattresses and beds on-site at hospitals and medical facilities.
- Assist hospitals on-site with setup, troubleshooting, and diagnosis for medical equipment.
- Interact with Med One customers professionally to enhance the company's credibility.
- Assist in receiving, shipping, cleaning, and processing of medical equipment inventory.
- Assist the Operations Manager with receiving and unpacking materials and supplies, assembling orders and preparing goods for shipment, recording shipment data (including weight and charges), and loading and unloading equipment.
- Perform cosmetic repairs, including repairing case damage, sanding, and repainting.
- Ensure company vehicles are properly maintained according to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Assist in light equipment maintenance and cleaning.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED required; technical school or college coursework is preferred
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Previous leadership or Lead Driver experience preferred
- 1-2 years of delivery driving experience
- Prior Box Truck driving experience required
- Proficient in computer operation and usage
- Strong work ethic
- Valid, active driver's license
- Clean motor vehicle record
- Ability to load and unload heavy items up to 75 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Excellent customer service skills
- Familiarity with local and surrounding areas, with the ability to read maps and follow directions
- Ability to clearly read and write in English
- Ability to provide guidance and support to team members while maintaining a professional and positive work environment
- Overtime and on-call scheduling may be required based on business needs
