Lead Maintenance Technician - Build-to-Rent Community

Hire Priority Staffing is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for a build-to-rent community in Houston, TX. This is a great opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who can lead daily maintenance operations, handle service requests, support make-readies, and help maintain a high-quality resident experience.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable, organized, and comfortable troubleshooting maintenance issues while helping keep the community clean, functional, and move-in ready.

Job Overview:

• Location: Houston, TX 77047
• Position type: Full-time
• Schedule: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM (+ shared on-call schedule)
• Immediate opening available
• Professionally managed, build-to-rent residential community

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations for the community
• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Coordinate and prioritize work orders, preventative maintenance, and unit turn schedules
• Lead make-ready work to ensure vacant homes are ready for new resident move-in
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance issues
• Help maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the community, including exterior areas and common spaces
• Support grounds, curb appeal, and general property upkeep as needed
• Assist with emergency maintenance needs and help provide excellent resident service

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous apartment maintenance experience required
• Previous lead maintenance or supervisory maintenance experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of service requests, make ready, preventative maintenance, and general repairs required
• HVAC / EPA certification required
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general maintenance issues
• Must be dependable, organized, and able to prioritize work effectively
• Strong customer service and communication skills required
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
