SMX Services & Consulting, Inc. is seeking experienced Lead Mainframe Computer Operators to support mainframe data center operations at the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO), 732 North Capitol Street NW, Washington, DC 20401.
The Lead Mainframe Computer Operator will perform hands-on computer operator responsibilities while providing shift-level leadership and operational coordination.
Candidates must have documented, in-depth experience with:
High-speed laser printer operation and maintenance
Impact printer operation and maintenance
Burster equipment
Mainframe data center operations
Mainframe job processing
JCL and TSO
Job scheduling and tracking
Report processing and distribution
Printer and operational troubleshooting
Paper, toner, developer, and supply management
Coordination with operating-system and printer maintenance personnel
Leading or coordinating data center operational activities
One Lead Computer Operator will be assigned to each operational shift:
Shift 1: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Shift 2: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
Candidates must be able to report onsite to:

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be available for 100% onsite work at the GPO facility in Washington, DC
Remote work is not available
Must have demonstrated mainframe data center experience
Must have hands-on high-speed laser printer experience
Must have hands-on impact printer experience
Must have experience operating burster equipment
Must be capable of serving as the designated Lead for the assigned shift
Must provide a complete resume documenting relevant experience
Pay:$71.40–$74.20/hour
