Lead Labor Claim Technician 

The Role 

We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Lead Labor Claim Technician to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality products and continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll take the lead in overseeing and guiding the product inspection process for labor claims, working closely with our product team to identify potential defects and ensure our standards remain top-notch.
 
You’ll dive into data and analysis to uncover trends, support company initiatives, and help drive smarter decisions. As a subject matter expert in quality, you’ll share your knowledge, champion improvement efforts, and serve as a trusted resource for the team.
 
Beyond the technical work, you’ll help shape the day-to-day success of the team by managing workflow, mentoring and developing team members, and collaborating with leadership to resolve challenges and keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead and support workflow to ensure timely processing and closure of all received labor claims
  • Support team training and provide quality oversight to help meet goals for efficiency, safety, and accuracy
  • Works with product team to reach and sustain desired overall proficiency with product failure analysis
  • Carefully inspect, measure, and document details related to labor claims
  • Capture and record key information to support tracking of manufacturing issues
  • Receive, sort, and organize incoming shipments (UPS, FedEx, DHL), including samples and labor claims
  • Keep internal quality tracking documents accurate and up to date
  • Serve as a helpful resource, supporting the product management team as needed
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and business

Qualifications 

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a related role
  • Solid automotive knowledge, especially in diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Comfortable working with and organizing large amounts of data
  • Able to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines consistently
  • You know your way around an automotive labor invoice, and you know when something doesn't add up
  • Detail-oriented to the core - nothing slips past you
  • A problem-solver who follows through, not just flags issues
Location:  Redlands, CA On-Site
Salary Range: $22.99 - $26.92 Hourly
Reports To: QC Supervisor

Physical Demands & Requirements 

Physical Effort: Occasional to frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs. Position involves a combination of stationary work and frequent movement throughout the facility and across multiple levels.
