Lead Java Backend Engineer (Java 17, Spring Boot, Kafka, Cloud)

Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Lead Java Backend Engineer (Java 17, Spring Boot, Kafka, Cloud) for their Charlotte, NC/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Software Engineer with experience in design, development of enterprise systems, and handling high volumes of data.
• The candidate would design and implement solutions to support our clients. Technology toolkit involves RDBMS tools (SQL Server, Oracle), middleware services (Java/J2EE, Spring, Kafka/JMS), User Interaction (React)
• Work independently with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of assigned tasks from initiation to resolution
• Proactively seek solutions, escalate issues appropriately, and follow through in a timely and professional manner
• Works closely with peer developers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that automated test plans and scripts meet customer needs
• Communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams to ensure clarity, alignment, and timely delivery

Requirements:

• Ability to work outside of regular business hours
• The candidate should be ready to work from client office for at least 3 days a week.
• Min 12 years of experience
• Proficiency in Java 17 with experience with spring boot based microservice development
• Good hands on experience with kafka
• Need for a primarily backendfocused Java engineer (Java/services/database)
• 5+ years of SQL development
• Other required experience includes react, Cloud and Test Automation
• OpenShift/Kubernetes experience preferred
• Need for a primarily back-end-focused Java engineer (Java/services/database)
• Other required experience includes kafka, Cloud and Test Automation
• OpenShift/Kubernetes experience preferred.
