Lead Installation Technician

Performs off-site repair, modification, and installation of doors, frames, and commercial hardware to meet job specifications and operational standards. This role requires extensive commercial door and hardware experience, the ability to independently troubleshoot complex field conditions, and a proven track record of managing installations of large commercial projects from start through completion.

The Lead Technician provides technical guidance and field direction to installation crews, ensuring work on large projects is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project specifications. Candidates must be proficient with power hand tools for cutting, welding, and boring hollow metal and wood doors, with a deep understanding of mechanical hardware operation and precise field adjustments.

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial door and hardware experience, with strong preference for extensive field installation experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate large commercial door, frame, and hardware installation projects
• Ability to provide field leadership and technical guidance to other installers and technicians
• Strong knowledge of commercial doors, frames, hardware, installation methods, troubleshooting, and adjustments
• Willingness and ability to travel as required for projects with overnight stays
• Clean MVR
• Acceptable background check
• Ability to pass a human performance evaluation
• Familiarity with power hand tools
• Carpentry skills
• Welding
