The Lead Hydraulic Assembler will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting hydraulic components and assemblies while serving as a resource and point of contact for other assemblers on the team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily hydraulic assembly operations while ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met.
- Assemble hydraulic components and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly prints, and technical documentation.
- Provide guidance and hands-on support to hydraulic assemblers, helping team members troubleshoot assembly issues and follow proper procedures.
- Align, fit, and install components using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and lifting equipment.
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality and production standards.
- Perform functional testing on finished hydraulic assemblies and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Assist with training and onboarding new hydraulic assemblers on assembly procedures, tools, equipment, and safety requirements.
- Monitor work in progress and help identify and resolve production or quality concerns.
- Clean and prepare components before, during, and after assembly using manual and automated cleaning equipment.
- Apply serial numbers, identification markings, and production documentation accurately.
- Communicate production, quality, material, or equipment concerns to supervisors and management.
- Help maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities to improve assembly processes, quality, and productivity.
- Serve as a hands-on resource for the assembly team and assist with other production operations as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2+ years of hydraulic assembly or related mechanical assembly experience preferred.
- Previous lead, senior assembler, trainer, or team lead experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic components, assemblies, and assembly processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic hydraulic and mechanical assembly issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to provide direction and support to other team members while maintaining a hands-on approach.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative production team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

- Monday - Thursday, 2nd Shift-3:30 PM - 2:30 AM
