Lead GenAI Developer

IDR is seeking a Lead GenAI Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Irving, Texas. This role focuses on designing and implementing innovative Generative AI solutions to enhance enterprise data and software processes. The company operates within the technology and data engineering industry, committed to leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies for business transformation.

Position Overview for the Lead GenAI Developer:

• Drive the design, development, and adoption of enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions that accelerate software development, data engineering, and business innovation.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate AI capabilities into enterprise platforms.
• Lead the development of scalable Python applications deployed on AWS and mentor development teams to adopt best practices.
• Focus on delivering secure, high-impact AI solutions that improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate and incorporate emerging AI capabilities, including RAG, embeddings, and AI agents, to advance the organization’s AI maturity.

Requirements for the Lead GenAI Developer:

• 6–9 years of professional software development experience with a strong emphasis on Python.
• Strong familiarity in applying Generative AI capabilities, including common patterns such as prompt design, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, embeddings & vector stores, and agentic AI.
• Data-centric engineering experience building services and tools within a data engineering organization.
• A “data-first” Python developer who understands the challenges of enterprise data systems.
• Proven experience building and scaling software solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
