Recruit22 is seeking an experienced Lead Functional Consultant Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (D365 F&SCM) with deep expertise across Sales and Production.

This position will serve as a senior functional leader responsible for translating complex business and operational requirements into scalable, maintainable D365 solutions. The Lead Functional Consultant will partner closely with Sales, Production, Operations, implementation consultants, developers, and data/BI teams throughout the solution lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on D365 F&SCM expertise, understands manufacturing and sales processes, and takes a configure-before-customize approach to solution design.

What You'll Do

Lead D365 Sales & Production Solution Design

• Analyze current and future-state processes across:
  • Sales order management
  • Customer setup
  • Pricing and discounts
  • Order promising and fulfillment
  • Production control
  • Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Formulas and routes
  • Resources and capacity planning
  • Production scheduling
  • Subcontracting
• Translate complex business requirements into functional D365 F&SCM solution designs.
• Lead fit-to-standard and fit-gap assessments.
• Evaluate whether requirements can be addressed through standard D365 functionality, configuration, workflow, or business-process changes.
• Assess cross-functional impacts involving Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Procurement and Sourcing, Master Planning, Product Information Management, Quality Management, Cost Management, and Finance.
• Develop functional requirements, process flows, configuration specifications, solution designs, and decision documentation.

Configure & Optimize D365 F&SCM

• Lead functional configuration across Sales and Production.
• Configure areas including:
  • Sales order parameters
  • Pricing and discount structures
  • Delivery and reservation settings
  • Production groups and parameters
  • BOMs and formulas
  • Routes and resources
  • Calendars and scheduling
• Demonstrate standard D365 functionality and recommend practical configuration alternatives.
• Evaluate standard product capabilities and process transformation opportunities before recommending custom development.
• Review proposed customizations and identify opportunities to use standard functionality instead.
• Assess new D365 F&SCM capabilities that could replace manual processes or existing customizations.

Partner Across Business & Technology Teams

• Serve as the senior functional counterpart to implementation partners throughout discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
• Lead workshops, fit-gap sessions, solution demonstrations, and design reviews.
• Review implementation-partner recommendations for alignment with business requirements and D365 best practices.
• Provide developers with clear functional requirements, business justification, dependencies, expected behavior, and acceptance criteria.
• Validate delivered solutions against approved functional designs.
• Support testing and maintenance of sales-related EDI integrations.

Lead Testing, Deployment & Go-Live Readiness

• Lead functional testing and business validation for implementations, enhancements, releases, and process changes.
• Develop and oversee test scenarios, test cases, expected results, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead UAT readiness, solution demonstrations, training support, cutover preparation, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Confirm delivered functionality meets approved requirements before production deployment.

Troubleshoot & Drive Continuous Improvement

• Investigate complex issues involving:
  • Sales orders
  • Pricing and availability
  • Reservations and fulfillment
  • Production orders
  • BOMs and formulas
  • Routes and resources
  • Scheduling
  • Inventory transactions
  • Costing and quality
  • Integrations and data
• Diagnose root causes involving process gaps, configuration issues, application behavior, data quality, integrations, and custom development.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate Sales and Production processes.
• Recommend solutions that improve scalability, reliability, planning effectiveness, user experience, upgradeability, and total cost of ownership.

Provide Functional Leadership

• Serve as a trusted D365 F&SCM advisor to business, operations, technology, planning, production, customer service, warehouse, and inventory stakeholders.
• Present solution alternatives, risks, dependencies, tradeoffs, and business impacts.
• Provide functional governance for Sales and Production solution changes.
• Mentor Business Analysts and other team members on D365 functionality and process design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• 6 7+ years of relevant ERP, business systems, business-process, or Microsoft Dynamics experience.
• Significant hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (D365 F&SCM).
• Strong functional expertise in D365 Sales and Production.
• Demonstrated experience with D365 configuration and functional solution design.
• Experience leading major portions of the D365 implementation lifecycle, including:
  • Discovery
  • Fit-to-standard / fit-gap analysis
  • Functional design
  • Configuration
  • Testing and UAT
  • Deployment
  • Post-go-live optimization
• Minimum of two end-to-end D365 F&SCM implementations.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, production, sales-order, inventory, and supply-chain processes.
• Ability to work effectively across business stakeholders, implementation partners, developers, and technical teams.
