We are hiring for one of our clients, a global leader in building automation, energy transition, and safety technologies.
As a Lead Field Service Technician, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting field service operations to ensure the highest level of service delivery and customer satisfaction across the Western NY region. Reporting directly to the Field Service Supervisor, you will leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to guide and mentor field service technicians while managing complex service tasks and troubleshooting on-site issues.
Lead and mentor field service technicians to ensure quality and timely service delivery.
Perform complex troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair tasks on commercial Building Automation Systems (BAS).
Document service activities and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Coordinate with customers and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
Ensure strict compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of proven field service experience with a strong technical background in building automation systems.
In-depth knowledge of building automation products, controls, troubleshooting techniques, and fire/life safety devices.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software used in field service operations, including multimeters and battery testers.
Proven ability to lead and guide a team of technicians while managing multiple service tasks efficiently.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues on-site.
Work Authorization & Export Control Compliance: Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations (ITAR/EAR), candidates must be a U.S. person, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or an individual with protected status under U.S. asylum or refugee status.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, or a related technical field.
Experience with specialized system verifier and compliance software.
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within field service teams.
Customer-focused approach with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to adapt to changing technologies and continuously improve technical knowledge.
Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in building automation environments.
