    Description

    Talent Clout is hiring an experienced Lead Fiber & Structured Cabling Technician for an immediate contract opportunity in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana.

    This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced technician with strong knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling, structured cabling installation, troubleshooting, and field operations.

    You will lead and support Level 1 and Level 2 technicians while remaining actively involved in the work. The ideal candidate is someone who can work with the tools, solve technical problems, read blueprints, guide a team, and keep a fast-paced project moving safely and efficiently.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead and direct Level 1 and Level 2 technicians on daily job-site activities.
    • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
    • Pull, route, label, dress, and install fiber optic and copper cabling.
    • Perform and oversee cable installation and termination.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
    • Help ensure the team completes approximately 30 drops per day.
    • Troubleshoot equipment, electrical, mechanical, and installation-related issues.
    • Use and maintain the tools and equipment required for cable pulling and installation.
    • Coordinate daily priorities and keep the project on schedule.
    • Provide hands-on guidance and training to junior technicians.
    • Communicate professionally with site contacts regarding work progress and technical issues.
    • Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and workmanship.

    What We're Looking For

    • Previous experience as a Lead Technician, Senior Technician, Lead Installer, Crew Lead, or similar role.
    • Strong hands-on experience with fiber optic and copper cabling.
    • Experience with cable pulling, routing, installation, labeling, and termination.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills.
    • Experience leading, training, or directing other technicians.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on field environment.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
