LEAD FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - Hospital Environment

Full-time, 40 hours per week
Assigned shift: Days: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM OR Evenings: 4:00 PM 12:30 AM
Vanguard Resources, Inc. (VRI) is hiring an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician (Level IV / Lead) to support hospital operations at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. This is a hands-on senior role for a skilled maintenance professional with experience in hospital, commercial, or facility operations who takes pride in safety, reliability, and keeping critical systems running smoothly.

WHAT YOULL DO
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance throughout hospital facilities
Troubleshoot issues involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems
Respond to facility emergencies, repairs, and maintenance requests
Perform minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair work
Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and complete routine facility repairs
Support building safety, cleanliness, and daily operations
Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians
Maintain organized, safe, and compliant work areas

Requirements
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR 4+ years of facilities maintenance experience preferred Experience in hospital or commercial facilities maintenance is a plus Strong troubleshooting and communication skills Comfortable using work order systems, computers, and MS Office Self-starter with leadership mindset and team-oriented attitude Strong commitment to safety and customer service
REQUIREMENTS Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record Must pass background check and drug screen Must complete required health screenings and vaccinations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to frequently walk, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, and work with tools/equipment Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs occasionally Ability to work around mechanical systems and varying environmental conditions

Starting Rate: $19 DOE
