About the Role:
Link Construction Group, a commercial and industrial general contractor, is hiring a Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction on high-profile projects across the region. This person will drive early-stage project strategy, oversee detailed cost estimating, lead complex pursuits, and mentor junior estimators. The company promotes from within, and over half its team has been there 10+ years.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the full bid process, trade coverage, and cost estimating across conceptual, schematic, and construction document phases
- Price and coordinate all trade divisions across negotiated, GMP, design-assist, and hard-bid projects
- Evaluate project logistics and deliver value engineering (VE) solutions to improve profitability and efficiency
- Drive project pursuits and represent the company in owner and design team presentations
- Build strong relationships with trade partners and subcontractors for competitive bidding
- Mentor and develop junior estimating team members
Must-Haves:
- 8+ years of preconstruction and estimating experience with general contractors
- Proven track record pricing and coordinating all divisions/trades on commercial and industrial projects
- Experience with negotiated, GMP, design-assist, and hard-bid delivery methods
- Proficient in Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Excel, and CRM platforms
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for owner and design team interaction
- Able to work onsite in Doral, FL
Nice-to-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 10+ years of estimating/preconstruction experience in South Florida or similar regional commercial markets
- Established network of subcontractors and trade partners
