Akkodis is seeking a Lead Engineer for a Contract with a client in San Antonio, TX/Plano, TX. The ideal candidate must have proven expertise in troubleshooting complex production issues through systematic debugging, log analysis, incident response, and developing AI agents using prompt engineering, Bedrock, and LLM integrations.
Rate Range: $56/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Lead Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications and backend services using Go, Python, and Java in AWS environments.
Build and deploy AI-powered agents and GenAI solutions utilizing Bedrock, Bedrock Agents, LangChain, and LLM integrations such as OpenAI, Gemini, and Anthropic.
Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation to automate cloud provisioning and deployment processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues through systematic debugging, log analysis, performance profiling, and incident response activities.
Integrate and secure AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager, ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.
Design effective prompts, manage agent memory and context, implement tool integrations, and establish safety guardrails to improve AI application performance and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
6-8 years of professional experience in software engineering, cloud-native application development, and AWS-based solutions.
Strong expertise in Go, Python, Java, Terraform/CloudFormation, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
Hands-on experience with Prompt Engineering, AI Agent development, Bedrock/Bedrock Agents, LangChain, RAG, LLM integrations, and AI security best practices.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $60.00 per hour
