The Lead Embedded System Verification Engineer will define test infrastructure, review system requirements, develop automated test solutions and perform end-to-end validation of optical transmission systems. Working with cross-functional teams, you will help ensure new and existing products meet performance, quality and customer requirements.
What You'll Do
Review system requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans.
Create traceability matrices linking test cases to technical requirements.
Establish verification standards, tools and best practices for a new team.
Validate optical provisioning, alarms, telemetry and software upgrades across CLI and gRPC interfaces.
Conduct end-to-end testing of optical transmission systems, including:
Signal-integrity validation.
Network resilience, protection switching and failure recovery.
Layer 1 performance, including BER, Q-factor and latency.
Layer 0 performance, including optical power, spectrum and OSNR.
Develop and maintain Python-based test automation.
Implement CI/CD regression pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab.
Run daily sanity tests and software/hardware regression testing.
Develop test cases for new features and customer-reported issues.
Produce test-summary and project-status reports for each release.
Collaborate with software, hardware, systems and product teams throughout development.
