    Role Summary

    The Lead Engineer - Chassis Launch (Mounting systems) is responsible for complete engineering ownership of allocated chassis components during vehicle launch and industrialisation, ensuring successful delivery into production.

    Area of Responsibility

    Engineering ownership of allocated Mounting commodities and associated hardware from the following group: EDU frame mounts, EDU mounts (front and rear), Associated brackets.

    Drive all engineering, quality and manufacturing issues to resolution

    Ensure DV, PV, sign-off activities and engineering releases are completed

    Support, pilot, pre-production and production builds

    Deliver components on time, cost and specification

    Manage engineering changes and programme risks

    Coordinate suppliers and cross-functional teams

    Ensure vehicle builds are supported with correct parts and engineering status

    Escalate issues where required

    Support launch activities at Solihull manufacturing facility

    Ensure maturation of components in line with programme plans

    Communicate engineering status to Chassis Launch leader.

    Knowledge / Experience

    Essential:

    Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience

    Experience delivering EDU Mountings or other chassis components within automotive programmes

    Proven project management and issue resolution capability

    Knowledge of product development, validation and launch processes

    Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

    Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA and structured problem solving

    PC literacy: Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word

    Preferred:

    Understanding of client release and change management systems

    CAD literacy and ability to interrogate CAD models

    Experience supporting BEV vehicle launches.
