    Description

    Weyerhaeuser Dodson is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to provide frontline leadership for electrical maintenance and reliability across the mill. This role is a full-time hourly position that is responsible for coordinating and executing electrical work while ensuring alignment with safety standards, electrical standards, maintenance objectives, and reliability goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead, coach, and direct electrical associates to ensure safe and effective execution of work. Foster a strong safety culture and reinforce safe behaviors in the field
    • Serve as a role model for safety, ensuring adherence to all electrical safety standards and procedures. Lead by example in hazard recognition, risk assessment, and safe work execution
    • Ensure work is executed in accordance with LOTO, NFPA 70E, and company safety programs
    • Build team capability through training, mentorship, and continuous feedback
    • Promote accountability, ownership, and clear communication across the team
    • Support the planning and scheduling of electrical maintenance work using the work order flow process
    • Prioritize work activities to support production and minimize downtime
    • Coordinate electrical resources for outages, shutdowns, and daily operations
    • Ensure timely completion and quality execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work
    • Support development and implementation of proactive maintenance strategies
    • Partner with operations and process control to improve equipment reliability
    • Identify and eliminate root causes of recurring equipment issues (participation in RCA & RFCA)
    • Support LEAN, reliability, and process improvement initiatives
    • Troubleshoot and support repair of electrical systems, including motors, drives, field devices, valves, system set points, and PLCs.
    • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and mill practices
    • Coordinate with engineering and process control on system improvements and modifications
    • Act as liaison between maintenance, operations, and technical teams
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent industrial electrical experience
    • Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment 2-3 years
    • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and control systems (motors, drives, PLCs)
    • Proven commitment to safety and compliance with safety standards
    • Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills
    • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and team-based)
    • Ability to lead teams and build strong working relationships across departments
    • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office and Outlook)
    • Willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
    • Ability to work in hot temperatures, dusty and noisy conditions
    • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout a shift
    • Ability to work extended shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • State Electrical License or advanced electrical certification
    • Experience in wood products or heavy manufacturing environment
    • Experience with CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.)
    • Knowledge of Allen Bradley, Control Logix, Beckhoff, or similar PLC platforms
    • Experience with LEAN manufacturing and reliability practices
