    The Lead Editor serves as the primary post-production specialist for the Health Sciences Media Production team, providing expertise in video and audio editing, motion graphics, visual effects, color correction, audio finishing, media encoding, and digital asset management.

    Reporting to the Media Production Coordinator/Studio Manager, this position works closely with the Production Coordinator and other team members to deliver high-quality multimedia content supporting teaching, learning, and institutional initiatives.

    The Lead Editor serves as the team''s senior post-production resource, making creative and technical decisions, establishing best practices, and ensuring completed media meets established quality, accessibility, and University standards.

    Candidates must provide a portfolio or sample of editing work to be considered.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor''s degree in Film, Media Production, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Three years of professional experience in video editing, post-production, or digital media production.
    • Demonstrated expertise with professional editing and post-production tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable platforms.
    • Experience with video and audio editing, motion graphics, color correction, and digital media workflows.
    • Strong creative, technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

    Preferences:

    • Experience in higher education, academic medicine, or educational media.
    • Experience with professional cameras, lighting, audio, and studio production.
    • Experience with immersive media, livestreaming, or other emerging media formats.
    • Familiarity with accessibility best practices for digital media.
