Position Title: Lead Data Manager

General Statement of Job
The Lead Data Manager provides district-wide leadership, technical administration, and advanced user support for the North Carolina Student Information System (NCSIS / Infinite Campus) and all interconnected state and local databases. The Central Office Lead ensures district-wide data integrity, coordinates high-stakes state reporting, and manages system security access.
Essential Job Functions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
North Carolina Policy Expertise: Deep understanding of the North Carolina Public Schools Student Attendance and Student Accounting Manual.
System Proficiency: Mastery of NCSIS (Infinite Campus) or similar enterprise K-12 student information systems. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and Google Workspace applications are required.
Data Privacy Regulations: Strong working knowledge of federal and state data privacy statutes, specifically the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Communication & Analytical Skills: Ability to translate complex data rules and tech structures into clear, actionable advice for non-technical school staff.
Problem Solving: Ability to work independently under tight, state-mandated deadlines while maintaining rigorous attention to detail.
