Responsibilities:
As a Lead Data Center Technician/Foreman, you are responsible for supervising field technicians while coordinating daily installation activities for structured cabling, fiber optic, and infrastructure projects within hyperscale data centers. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with customer specifications and quality standards.
In addition, you will:
- Supervise installation crews on multiple work areas
- Assign daily work activities and monitor productivity
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and customer representatives
- Review construction drawings and project schedules
- Ensure compliance with BICSI, ANSI/TIA, NEC, and customer standards
- Perform quality inspections and punch list management
- Mentor and train junior technicians
- Verify testing documentation and turnover packages
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA requirements
- Manage materials, equipment, and workforce scheduling
- Resolve technical issues in the field
Qualifications:
About You:
- 5+ years of data center infrastructure experience
- Previous leadership or foreman experience
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling and fiber systems
- Ability to manage multiple crews and priorities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- You have a BICSI Technician Certification
- You have an OSHA 30 Certification
- You are First Aid/CPR certified
- Experience leading hyperscale data center projects
- You have experience with Project Coordination, scheduling, and problem-solving
- You have experience with Fiber and Structured Cabling
- You have experience with Quality Assurance, Customer Relations, and Safety Management
