Description
The Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District is seeking an individual for a Lead Custodian position at Hillcrest Elementary. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position working 8 hours/day (6:30am-3:00pm).
- PLEASE NOTE: You must complete required training yearly in order to be employed by our District.
Primary Purpose:
Maintain building appearance, provide set up and tear down of daily activities in the building, perform routine maintenance on heating, electrical, and ventilation systems, keep all building exterior and interior entrances clear of debris (snow, water etc…), perform as well as communicate and direct the cleaning needs of the building to light housekeeping and custodial staff. Maintain an environment conducive to learning.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Regular and Reliable Attendance
- Assemble and install shelving, classroom furniture and other materials as needed
- Plan and schedule preventative maintenance on district equipment as needed
- Organize staff schedules and duties to ensure efficient use of time and completion of tasks or projects
- Supervise, evaluate and discipline (as necessary while working in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager, Director of Buildings & Grounds and Human Resources) custodial and light housekeeping staff
- Manage materials and supplies and ensure items are in stock as needed
- Clean building including but not limited to sweeping/scrubbing, vacuuming, restroom monitoring, lunch time set up and tear down, removal of garbage, ensuring exterior and interior entrances are free of snow, sand, water and debris
- Floor care (sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming, refinishing and extraction).
- Perform routine maintenance of filters, lubrication, ballasts, light fixtures and various machines
- Communicate maintenance and special building needs to Maintenance Manager as needed
- Utilize computer software to manage facility use and maintenance work orders
- Other duties as assigned
