    Description

    UPMC is seeking a Lead CT Technologist to support the CT Scan department at UPMC Hanover to support hospital and 2 off-site locations.

    Location: UMPC Hanover

    Employment Type: Full-Time

    Schedule: Days - Opportunity for 5 8-hour shifts, or 4 10-hour shifts. Rotating holiday and on-call required

    Generous $20,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible new hires

    Purpose:

    In addition to performing imaging procedures at an advanced level, coordinates workflow, assists with projects and coordinates educational activities. Functions as a working technologist and distributes workload to ensure efficient operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of advanced technologists and communicates results back to departmental leadership.
    • Performs all responsibilities of CT Tech I and Advanced CT Tech II.
    • Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame. Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when necessary.
    • Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
    • Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
    • Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor.

    Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.

    CT Specialty Boards Completed.

    3 years CT experience required.

    Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    ARRT certified as a CT Technologist.

    CPR or BLS Required.

    CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
