Location: Ventura, CA

Pay Rate: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Coach, Cheer, Conquer Your Career - Customer Service Lead

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of customer service experience with at least 2 years in a lead, senior, or supervisory role
  • Experience with EDI systems, retailer portals, and ERP/order management platforms required
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Experience in produce, food distribution, or perishable goods preferred
  • Knowledge of payroll coordination, timekeeping, or workforce administration preferred
  • Experience with collections or accounts receivable processes is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and business systems
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills

Job Duties:

  • Provide daily leadership and workflow coordination for the Customer Service team
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer service issues and order discrepancies
  • Support coaching, training, and performance management initiatives
  • Monitor team productivity, service levels, and key performance indicators
  • Oversee order entry accuracy, fulfillment coordination, and key account communication
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, EDI standards, and retailer processes
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Customer Service teams to support business objectives
  • Lead administration and improvement of EDI platforms and customer portals
  • Coordinate CSR scheduling, PTO requests, timekeeping, and payroll-related activities
  • Monitor collections activities and assist with past-due account follow-up
  • Generate reports, analyze operational data, and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Standardize procedures, documentation, and training materials
  • Support audits, compliance initiatives, and internal controls
