Lead Counter Sales Associate
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interact with internal and outside salespeople, vendors and contractors. Make outbound calls to customers to increase sales and provide additional services
- As directed by Sales Center Manager, responsible forpreparing and completing weekly cycle counts, timely processing and return of in-warranty items to manufacturers, handling freight claims for missing or damaged equipment/supplies, handling of intra-store transfers and promoting sales of monthly specialty items.
- As directed by Sales Center Manager, responsible for the prompt ordering and scheduling the arrival of equipment and supplies for resale; properly track incoming merchandise and special orders; and assist warehouse personnel when needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of customer credit status and strict maintenance of credit codes on sales to customers.
- Responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product.
- Assist in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end users.
- Assist Territory Sales Managers with product information, availability, pricing and special factors when needed.
- Complete sales order process for customers with efforts to up-sell associated items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year experience in HVAC, customer service, warehousing/distribution or retail.
- Knowledge of air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level preferred.
- Proven success in sales and providing excellent customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service.
- Ability to work independently, but meet assigned goals and objectives in designated time frames.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
- A willingness to learn and grow with our Company.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a wholesale HVAC equipment supply house preferred.
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. This position may require working extra hours on occasion.

Summary:

The Lead Counter Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent sales and service at the counter at one of our established wholesale HVAC distributorships that carries multiple brands of equipment, parts and supplies and handling elevated issues. The Lead must be conversant with and have a solid knowledge of the products sold at the Sales Center. The Lead will assist in supervising and training other Counter Sales Associates as well as assist management with daily operations. The ultimate goal of this role is to provide strong customer service in a sales-oriented setting.
