The Lead Cook prepares patient meals as the cook while assisting the Director in managing and coordinating all aspects of the Food Service Department. Essential job functions include providing nutritious and attractive meals, maintaining a sanitary environment, monitoring supplies, ensuring proper storage, and managing staff. Successful candidate requires a combination of essential skills: calm under pressure, fine motor skills, attention to detail, a good memory, organizational and cleanliness skills, quick decision-making, collaboration, a positive attitude, openness to feedback, and planning skills.
