Lovelytics is seeking a Lead GenAI Consultant with hands-on experience delivering client-facing projects in the Generative AI domain, particularly on the Databricks platform. As part of our growing AI & GenAI practice, this role offers an exciting opportunity to design and deploy state-of-the-art solutions that combine language models, vector databases, and cutting-edge orchestration frameworks.

The Lead Consultant will play a pivotal role in delivering client engagements focused on AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM application development, prompt engineering / DSPy, GenAI-driven automation, and advanced NLP. Our ideal candidate blends technical depth with consulting acumen and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead delivery of significant GenAI and Agentic AI workstreams on Databricks, from detailed design through production implementation.
  • Own technical execution for assigned solution components, including design decisions, development, testing, deployment, and operational readiness.
  • Provide day-to-day technical guidance to Senior Consultants and review code, architecture, and implementation quality.
  • Work directly with client technical teams to clarify requirements, communicate progress, resolve blockers, and explain technical tradeoffs.
  • Ensure solutions follow GenAI engineering standards for quality, security, evaluation, observability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to technical discovery, estimates, demos, solution design, and reusable GenAI assets.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven hands-on experience building GenAI solutions using LLMs, RAG or broader retrieval patterns, AI agents, tool calling, prompt engineering, and orchestration.
  • Solid Databricks experience across relevant capabilities such as Mosaic AI, Model Serving, MLflow, Unity Catalog, Vector Search, Databricks Apps, and Lakehouse architecture.
  • Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals, including APIs, testing, Git, CI/CD, and deployment practices.
  • Experience with GenAI evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, prompt optimization, and production troubleshooting.
  • Ability to independently design and implement moderately complex solution components using structured and unstructured data.
  • Working understanding of data engineering, ML, and cloud architecture concepts.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, working sessions, demos, and design reviews with client engineering teams.
  • Ability to mentor Senior Consultants and provide constructive technical feedback.

Our Ideal Candidate's Skills and Experiences:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience, with meaningful experience in data, ML, AI, cloud, or software engineering.
  • Demonstrated 1-2 years hands-on GenAI/LLM project experience, preferably including production implementations.
  • Experience owning technical workstreams or major solution components.
  • Consulting or professional services experience preferred
  • Databricks certifications and broader familiarity with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
  • Experience with DSPy, automated prompt optimization, fine-tuning, synthetic data generation, or advanced evaluation approaches.
  • Experience with Agentic AI, multi-agent systems, MCP, human-in-the-loop workflows, or advanced orchestration.

The base salary range for this position for candidates based in the US is $120,000-155,000 per year. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, scope of role and budget. Candidates are not guaranteed to be placed at any particular point within the range, and most offers will fall within the middle of the range or below. Lovelytics is committed to pay equity and transparency in compensation practices.
