Description

JT4 is seeking a Lead Computer Scientist for their Edwards AFB location in California.A Computer Scientist III provides software and systems engineering services, generally within a work unit or group.Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:Advise team and project managers on technical problemsInteract with customers and project managers on a regular basisWork independently of direct supervision on projects of high complexityUse judgment and initiative in developing complex analytical and computational technologies and methodologies for solving problems, which may be technically unique to the industryInterpret customer requirements and develop and analyze the most appropriate approach to solve technical problemsDevelop design of system/software and associated design documentationPrepare and conduct design reviewsImplement design through software coding or hardware and appropriately document the design implementationPlan and execute unit, integration, and system testingParticipate in maintenance and sustainment activities of system/softwareProvide work direction or other guidance to subordinate technical staffEstablish and maintain positive customer relationsMay support pursuit of new business efforts, lead proposal efforts, and act as a technical consultantPerform other job-related duties, as requiredREQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCEOne of the following educational requirements must be met for this position:A bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of four (4) years of related experienceA master’s degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of two (2) years of experienceA PhD in an associated disciplineCompTIA Security+ Certification Required or must be obtained within six months from hire date.In addition, a Computer Scientist III must possess the following qualifications:Proficient in C#, Classic ASP & SQL or similar programming languagesKnowledge and understanding of Windows and any related operating systems, SQL databasesFamiliarity with the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniquesExperience with systems engineering and software development lifecyclesEffective oral and written communication skillsGood planning/organizational skillsExperience with computer-based systems and applicationsMust possess a valid, state issued driver’s licenseMust be able to obtain and maintain security clearanceMust be a U.S. citizenSALARYThe expected salary range for this position is $127,500 to $145,000 annually.Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay.
