Lead CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift
Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour (based on experience)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Overtime: Mandatory as needed

Position Summary

The Lead CNC Machinist will oversee 2nd shift machining operations, ensuring production stays on schedule while maintaining exceptional quality standards. This role combines hands-on machining with leadership responsibilities, including guiding team members, troubleshooting complex machining issues, and supporting high-precision manufacturing work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead 2nd shift machining operations and ensure production targets are met
  • Set up and machine complex, high-precision components
  • Troubleshoot machining and setup issues to minimize downtime
  • Maintain tight tolerances and ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Support, mentor, and provide guidance to machining team members
  • Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements accurately
  • Collaborate with engineering and inspection to ensure part conformance
  • Maintain safe, organized, and efficient work practices
Qualifications
Required Experience
  • 7+ years of CNC machining experience in a high-precision environment (aerospace or defense preferred)
  • Prior leadership or lead machinist experience required
  • Strong blueprint reading skills and deep understanding of GD&T
Preferred Skills
  • 5-axis CNC machining experience
  • Experience working with Inconel, Titanium, or other exotic materials
  • Strong problem-solving skills in complex machining environments
