Lead Clinician - Clinical Supervision

Milwaukee Mobile Crisis Team

Hourly Pay Rate: $30.19 - $45.29

SIGN ON BONUS $7,500 &

Shift Differentials: $5/hr for weekends, $10/hr for 3rd shift hours

Job Summary: The Lead Clinician will perform lead clinical services as part of Milwaukee Mobile Crisis team providing community based crisis intervention services to individuals across the lifespan. This position is essential to the provision of clinical supervision in groups for both adults and youth to support DHS 34 services and billing in CBRFs. This role will also function in the BHESC role to provide crisis planning, crisis staffings, & direct services if needed

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide in person clinical supervision under DHS 34 to ensure that emergency mental health services are delivered appropriately, with staff receiving regular, documented supervision or peer consultation based on their experience level to improve staff competencies.
• Document completed clinical supervision as per DHS 34 Emergency Mental Health Services statute.
• Develop and maintain individualized crisis plans for clients at high risk of recurrent mental health crises, ensuring each plan includes strengths, needs, triggers, support contacts, and effective response strategies. Collaborate with the client, their support network, etc.
• Participate in all Crisis Stabilization Per Diem planning efforts and meetings, ensuring that clinical supervision requirements outlined in DHS 34 are consistently met. Provide oversight to confirm appropriate supervision, consultation, and documentation, including approval.
• Support CCP when coverage is needed for crisis staffings, development of crisis plans, needed follow-up tasks, etc.
• Conduct psychiatric and psychosocial assessment of youth and adults with significant mental health and co-occurring needs. Regularly evaluate dangerousness to self and others (suicidal and homicidal ideation).
• Intervene in and manage the acute crisis phase of mental illness in the community. De-escalate, stabilize, and resolve mental health crisis events. This may include remaining with the individual in their community setting until stabilized and linked with other services.
• Effectively reduce any danger to self or others by either therapeutic interventions, arranging for immediate services, and connecting to services and/or supports in the community until the danger is eliminated and the person is engaged in therapeutic services.
• Perform all other duties as assigned such as participating in community engagement and outreach, contributing to redesign planning and implementation of new initiatives, and supporting Mobile Crisis coverage.

Minimum Requirements:

• Authorized to work in the United States, able to establish Wisconsin residency within six (6) months of start date.
• Valid United States Drivers License, able to obtain a Wisconsin Driver's License within six (6) months of hire.
• Master's Degree or higher in Social Work or a related field.
• At least three (3) years of social work or counseling experience.
• Licensure in one of the following: LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• Able to lift/carry and push/pull up to 25 lbs.
• Willing and able to travel 50% of work time within the community.
• Willing and able to work irregular, unpredictable, or particularly long hours due to frequent overtime, weekend work, or shift rotation.
• Willing and able to have regular or frequent on-call availability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two (2) or more years of leadership experience.
