The School District of Spring Valley is seeking a part-time

Lead Child Care Teacher for Cardinal Kids Club

2:45 PM - 6:00 PM, Tuesday - Friday

Starting pay is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

All of the following:

a. Be at least 18 years of age.

b. Have completed high school or its equivalent, as determined by the Wisconsin department of public instruction.

c. Have at least 240 hours of experience as an assistant child care teacher in a group child care center, as a licensed family child care provider, or in another approved early childhood setting.

Plus one of the following:

a. Four credits in early childhood education or its equivalent

b. Two non-credit department-approved courses in early childhood education.

c. A certificate from the Wisconsin Registry indicating that the person is qualified as a child care teacher.

d. The Registry Preschool Credential

e. The Registry Infant Toddler Credential.

f. Forty-eight credits from an institution of higher education with at least 3 credits in early childhood education or its equivalent.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Plan, implement, and supervise the daily activities for a group of children during enrichment activities, choice times, and recreation both indoors and outdoors.
• Create safe environments for children.
• Able to communicate with parents and families effectively.
• Bring a positive attitude and be able to have a good time.
