Lead Chef | Grand Rapids

We are hiring an experienced Lead Chef for a fast-paced Italian dining restaurant. If you take pride in culinary excellence, team leadership, and running a smooth, high-quality kitchen, we want to hear from you.

Shifts & Pay:

Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49546
Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday
Shifts: Mornings and Afternoons available
Pay: $20.00/hour or more, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily kitchen operations and lead the team during shifts
Train, guide, and support kitchen staff to maintain quality and efficiency
Ensure all dishes meet recipe, portion, and presentation standards
Manage kitchen workflow and coordinate with front-of-house as needed
Enforce proper food safety and sanitation standards across the kitchen
Step in on the line and support stations as needed during service
Assist with inventory, ordering, and minimizing food waste

What We Are Looking For:

Previous experience leading or supervising a kitchen team required
Strong background in Italian cuisine and cooking techniques
Ability to train and motivate staff while maintaining high standards
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Reliable, hands-on leader with a passion for food quality
