Serve as the lead field carpenter and day-to-day site leader on luxury residential construction projects. Supervise carpenters, laborers, and trade partners while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards. Coordinate subcontractors and assist in developing and maintaining project schedules alongside the Construction Manager. Perform material takeoffs and manage procurement, deliveries, inventory, and jobsite logistics. Review and redline shop drawings, verify field measurements, and oversee layout activities. Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, security, and OSHA-compliant safety practices. Train and mentor junior carpenters while promoting company best practices and craftsmanship standards. Document project progress, manage punch list completion, and support project closeout activities.
A successful Lead Carpenter should have: 4+ years of residential carpentry experience, preferably within luxury residential construction. Proven ability to lead field crews and coordinate multiple trades on active construction sites. Strong experience with custom homes, high-end renovations, additions, historic restorations, or fine finish carpentry. Ability to read construction documents, shop drawings, and architectural plans. Comfortable balancing hands-on carpentry responsibilities with project coordination and supervision duties. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. OSHA-10 certification preferred. Passion for craftsmanship, quality, and delivering exceptional client experiences.
