    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    As the Lead Cable Technician, you'll be the go-to person in the field.

    You'll:

    • Lead and direct cable installation crews
    • Assign daily tasks and keep projects moving
    • Work directly with customers, contractors and project managers
    • Install, terminate, label and test structured cabling
    • Troubleshoot installation and connectivity issues
    • Read blueprints, floor plans and network diagrams
    • Maintain organized racks, cabinets, pathways and telecom rooms
    • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
    • Train and mentor junior technicians
    • Make sure projects are completed safely, correctly and on schedule

    WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

    We're looking for someone with:

    • 2–5 years of structured cabling experience
    • At least 2 years leading crews or field projects
    • Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems
    • Experience with Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber and/or coax
    • Ability to read construction drawings and technical documents
    • Strong troubleshooting skills
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
    • Ability to travel locally to customer sites
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work on ladders, lifts and in construction environments

    EXPERIENCE THAT WILL SET YOU APART

    These are a PLUS, but not required:

    • BICSI certification
    • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
    • Fiber installation and testing
    • Access control systems
    • Security cameras
    • Wireless systems
    • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, healthcare or commercial environments
