We are seeking a qualified applicant for a Lead Budtender/Keyholder position at our SW Clay location.The Lead Budtender/Keyholder is responsible for ensuring all opening/closing procedures are executed completely, leading daily floor operations, and directly supporting customers and staff.Responsibilities and Duties:The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.Core Budtender Duties:Greet customers, verify age/legal ID, and advise on suitable cannabis products based on customer needs, preferences, budgets, and strain effects.Educate customers on safe cannabis use and stay updated on new products, consumption methods, and industry trends.Process customer payments using the Point of Sale (POS) system.Correctly weigh, package, and label cannabis products in strict accordance with OLCC regulations.Ensure the dispensary floor and check-in area remain clean, organized, and well-stocked with cannabis and non-cannabis products.Process, fulfill, and close online and delivery orders.Monitor procedure updates and maintain daily communication on Slack.Lead Budtender/Keyholder Leadership Duties:Complete opening/closing checklists and securely manage keys for the front door, cage, and product cabinets.Assign POS drawers to staff, ensure register assignment compliance, balance bank change, track change count logs, and execute end-of-shift cash/tip drops.Oversee customer returns, de-escalate difficult customer situations, and answer complex product questions.Manage break and lunch schedules for Budtenders and supervise staff in the absence of the Assistant or General Manager.Monitor stock levels continuously, enforce "End of Jar" and "New Strain on Floor" protocols, and communicate inventory needs to the Inventory Department.Qualifications and Skills:Must be 21 years of age or older (required)Must have a valid Oregon Marijuana Worker Permit (required)High school diploma or GED;General knowledge of cannabis;Knowledge of OLCC sales limits;Customer service skills;Ability to work quickly and accurately;The ability to stand for long periods of time;The ability to lift up to 25 lbs.;The ability to adapt to changing circumstances without notice;Must be able to understand and comply with safety regulations;Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written;Benefits & Compensation:$18.00/hr. + shared tips;Employees have access to ZayZoon as a benefit for early wage access.Employer-sponsored benefits (medical, dental and vision);Optional retirement plan (Roth IRA);Employee Discount (40% off Fire Dept Cannabis and Feel Goods products, 27.5% off all other products);Paid time off.We're an equal-opportunity employer.
