Overview: The HPVC team at U Power is responsible for designing and architecting the high-performance central computing system for next generation vehicles with up to fully autonomous driving capabilities, and developing core components (including hardware, software, tools) from the ground up. Our mission is to innovate next-generation vehicle architecture and make it happen on mass-produced vehicles.
U Power is looking for a Lead BSP Engineer to help us design, coordinate, and implement Drivers and Kernel features for our high-performance vehicle computers (HPVC).
As a Lead BSP Engineer, you will:
• Work closely with electrical engineering, systems engineering, and external partners to tune OS and kernel settings. • Drive the architecture phase and coordinate its implementation. • Oversee the designing, implementation, debugging, testing, and profiling of platform SW with and by associated team members. • Act as functional lead of firmware SW team.
This is an onsite position located in Sunnyvale, CA.
• BS, MS, or PhD in CS, EE, Math, Physics, or equivalent. • 10+ years of Embedded Linux Development Experience. • Excellent knowledge of Linux Kernel Development. • Excellent knowledge of Driver Development. • Excellent knowledge of Embedded Development in Assembly, C, C++. • Experience with Linux Kernel performance tuning and optimization. • Experience with board bring up on new hardware (ARM-based processors). • Experience in customizing both Bootloader and Linux OS for embedded platforms. • Hands-on software and hardware testing and debugging experience. • Experience with Oscilloscopes, Protocol Analyzers (PCIe, Ethernet), and Signal/Pattern Generators.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $250,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and experience. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Within the range, individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
