The Lead Billing Supervisor is a key member of the revenue cycle team. The Lead Billing Supervisor works closely with all staff members, physicians, patients, manage care companies and public. Reports to: Assistant Director of Revenue Cycle Manager Responsibilities: - supervised the billing department staff
- responsible for overseeing all department operations.
- Ensures all practice charges are received and submitted.
- Have regular contact with the practice administrators/office managers regarding work status, missing charges and other related issues.
- Responsible for obtaining weekly workflow updates from their billers to monitor status.
- Provide a weekly charge update to the Revenue Cycle Manage.
- Review the needs of the department and make staffing adjustments as necessary.
- Responsible for monitoring Paychex and approving time.
- Will maximize all billing opportunities.
- Assists Revenue cycle Manger in supervising the Billing Supervisors, billers and authorization specialists.
