Lead Audio Visual Technician
Locations: Raleigh • Winston‑Salem • Charlotte, NC
ClarkPowell is seeking an experienced Lead Audio Visual Technician to oversee and guide installation teams on professional A/V projects. We're looking for a leader who demonstrates professionalism, communicates clearly, and takes pride in delivering exceptional work. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed with high quality, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Highly self‑motivated and able to perform effectively with minimal supervision.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in audio visual installation.
- Ability to read and apply Electronic CAD drawings.
- Ability to interpret building blueprints.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage installation teams and subcontractors.
- Expert-level workmanship in cabling, lacing, soldering, crimping, and structural installation.
- Ability to fully test and verify system performance for engineering compliance and operational readiness.
- Experience with videoconference system installation and configuration is a plus.
- AVIXA CTS or CTS‑I certification is a plus.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
Travel & Additional Details
This position requires regional travel throughout North and South Carolina. When not assigned to local projects, travel may include up to 50% overnight stays (Monday-Friday). A company van is provided.
