Job Summary
The Lead Assigner is responsible for the daily distribution, tracking, and management of sales leads to support timely follow-up, balanced workloads, and overall sales effectiveness. This position works closely with Sales Managers, Sales Consultants, and Operations teams to maintain lead accuracy, support pipeline management, and ensure leads are assigned according to established business rules and priorities.
This role serves as an important operational partner to the sales organization by ensuring sales opportunities are distributed efficiently and managed in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assign inbound and outbound sales leads to Sales Consultants according to established distribution rules.
  • Monitor lead queues to ensure timely assignment and balanced workload distribution.
  • Review lead inventory and prioritize assignments based on business needs, lead quality, and service-level expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records of lead assignments, reassignments, and related activity.
  • Audit lead data for accuracy and resolve assignment discrepancies.
  • Monitor aging and unworked leads and coordinate with Sales Consultants and Sales Managers to support timely follow-up.
  • Partner with Sales Managers on staffing changes, territory alignment, and performance initiatives.
  • Generate and distribute lead management reports and dashboards.
  • Track lead activity and identify trends, process gaps, or opportunities to improve lead distribution efficiency.
  • Support sales operations, reporting, and process-improvement projects.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable data privacy requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in sales support, operations, customer service, or a related environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Sales Managers, Sales Consultants, and Operations teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in lead management, sales operations, or a contact center environment.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Experience working with lead databases and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of Merchant Services, financial services, or sales processes.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, or analyzing performance metrics.

  • Timely completion of lead assignments within established service levels.

  • Balanced allocation of leads across Sales Consultants.

  • Effective support and partnership with sales leadership and Sales Consultants.
  • Identification and implementation of opportunities to improve lead management processes.

Pay Range: $40 - $45

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
