Get to Know the Opportunity:

The Lead AI Product Manager is a senior individual contributor responsible for defining and executing AI product strategy for digital and wealth management solutions. This role owns product vision, roadmap development, and go-to-market execution for AI-powered experiences that support retirement plan participants, financial advisors, and plan sponsor clients.

The role requires strong technical fluency in large language models (LLMs), agentic systems, AI evaluation methodologies, and regulated product development. Working across business, technology, compliance, legal, and risk functions, the Lead AI Product Manager identifies high-impact opportunities and delivers AI-enabled solutions that drive measurable customer and business outcomes.

The Contributions You'll Make:

  • Define and lead AI product strategy and a 12-18 month roadmap across participant engagement, advisor enablement, plan administration, and investment-related experiences.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI opportunities through customer research, behavioral insights, workflow analysis, and competitive market intelligence.
  • Establish success metrics and own business outcomes, including engagement, adoption, operational efficiency, and retirement readiness improvements.
  • Lead discovery efforts with financial advisors, plan sponsors, administrators, and participants to translate business needs into product requirements and technical specifications.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to evaluate prototypes, assess solution approaches, and drive informed product trade-off decisions.
  • Support rapid product iteration and delivery from concept through launch and adoption.
  • Ensure AI-powered solutions comply with legal, regulatory, fiduciary, compliance, and risk management requirements.
  • Drive go-to-market planning, rollout strategies, stakeholder communications, and adoption measurement for AI-enabled products.
  • Build alignment across business, technology, compliance, legal, risk, and investment stakeholders while influencing without direct authority.
  • Advocate for customer-centric product decisions while balancing business objectives, technical feasibility, and regulatory considerations.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 4 years supporting AI or machine learning products within technology, fintech, or financial services environments.
  • Proven experience delivering AI-powered products from discovery through launch and measurable adoption.
  • Strong knowledge of LLM-based products, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, model evaluation frameworks, experimentation methodologies, and data-driven product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, comprehensive product requirements and technical specifications for engineering teams.
  • Experience working within regulated environments and partnering with compliance, legal, and risk stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of retirement, wealth management, or financial services products, including fiduciary considerations and participant or advisor workflows.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and guide complex decisions across multiple teams and disciplines.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field preferred.
  • Experience supporting AI-powered digital experiences for retirement, wealth management, or advisory services.
  • Deep understanding of advisor, participant, plan sponsor, and plan administration workflows.
  • Experience launching and scaling enterprise AI products in highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI frameworks, model governance, and AI risk management practices.
  • Experience driving go-to-market strategy and adoption programs for emerging technology products.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
