Key Responsibilities for the Lead Accountant:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close as the Lead Accountant
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Oversee cash flow activities and maintain banking relationships
• Coordinate audit and tax activities with external CPA firms
• Ensure payroll transactions are properly processed and recorded
• Manage sales tax processes and work with third-party providers
• Support leadership with financial reporting and accounting analysis as the Lead Accountant
Qualifications for the Lead Accountant:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting leadership experience
• Strong general accounting, financial statement preparation, and month-end close experience
• QuickBooks and advanced Excel experience required
• Manufacturing or distribution industry experience strongly preferred
• Experience partnering with CPA firms on audits, tax matters, and compliance
