Job Description
Key responsibilities of a Layout Technician include:
- Work directly with project managers to help implement project goals
- Utilize Total Station and other instruments to lay out buildings and project sites
- Create reports to present to General Superintendent and company leadership
- Travel between projects as needed (Travel expenses covered by company)
- Overview project goals and ensure project goals are achievable
- Liaise with project lead and other project managers to maintain project schedule and efficacy

The Successful Applicant
- 5+ years of engineering, architectural, or construction surveying experience in related markets
- Strong organizational skills; candidate should be energized by working with different teams, both internal and external
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects and teams concurrently. Comfortable learning new software platforms to track and organize project information
- Technical background with understanding of building engineering and commercial projects; prior experience in commercial projects
- Detailed knowledge of resource planning and financial planning
- Proficient experience with surveying tools and methods
- Excellent writing, organization, and communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to navigate in a fast pace environment
- Team player that's passionate about innovation and driven to optimize and build better buildings and products
