Description
Core Responsibilities:
Designate, review, and analyze lower court records and other documents for appeals.
Monitor appellate dockets.
Research and analyze case law.
Draft persuasive appellate briefs, motions, applications, and related documents.
Advocate in appellate courts before justices.
Assist in-house and outside trial panel counsel in framing trial issues and preserving the record for appeal.
Advise in-house and outside trial panel counsel and claims specialists on writ petitions.
Prepare pleadings.
Provide support to attorneys in litigation matters to try and arbitrate cases successfully.
Formulate creative pleading and motion strategy.
Obtain concurrence from claims specialists and attorneys on law and motion pleading and strategy.
Attend court appearances and argue motions.
Assist in compliance with defense attorney guidelines.
