Law Enforcement Liaison (Exempt)

The Law Enforcement Liaison will work alongside the Director to ensure the success of the planned enforcement, assist with feedback for assessing the success of planned initiatives while establishing the individual objectives of Police Traffic Services activities. Under the general supervision of the Director of the Office of Highway Safety, the Law Enforcement Liaison will fulfill the role of the representative for the VIOHS in efforts and training opportunities under Police Traffic Services.

Under the general supervision of the Director of the Office of Highway Safety, the Law Enforcement Liaison will fulfill the role of the representative for the VIOHS in efforts and training opportunities under Police Traffic Services.  This position requires a confidential relationship to a policymaker. The incumbent will be responsible for encouraging law enforcement to participate in traffic safety initiatives such as overtime enforcement of traffic safety laws. The Law Enforcement Liaison will work alongside the Director to ensure the success of the planned enforcement, assist with feedback for assessing the success of planned initiatives while establishing the individual objectives of Police Traffic Services activities.
