Description
Responsibilities:
Provide beginner and advanced courses in law enforcement tactics, officer safety, policies and procedures
Write and prepare lesson plans, course materials, evaluations, and management recommendations in a grammatically correct and concise manner
Rate and score students/ officers/ and officials to determine pass/fail within departmental standards
Continuously analyze training policies and related processes, making recommendations as needed
Perform administrative support such as class scheduling, record keeping and property management
Must be able to work rotating hours and shifts to include days, evenings, and weekends when required
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or Police Science, exercise science, physical education, kinesiology or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years LE experience
Completion of Law Enforcement Instructor Training Program (LEITP) or equivalent
Ability to work rotating hours/shifts
Experience in developing/executing lesson plans & exercises in LE setting
