The firm is service-oriented and approaches planning for clients' families and businesses with the same care and diligence they would apply to their own.Role Description The Law Clerk will support attorneys with legal research, drafting, and review of documents related to estate planning, business planning, and other firm practice areas. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, preparing memoranda, organizing and maintaining case files, and assisting with the drafting of wills, trusts, corporate documents, and correspondence. The role also involves communicating with attorneys and staff to gather information, verify facts, and ensure accurate and complete documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Woodbury, MN, requiring regular collaboration with the legal team and adherence to firm procedures and confidentiality standards.QualificationsStrong knowledge or academic background in law, particularly in estate planning and business law.Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and reviewing legal instruments.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, staff, and clients.Solid research and writing skills, including experience using legal research tools and producing clear, well-organized memoranda.Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct.Enrollment in or completion of a law degree (J.D.) or paralegal program preferred.Prior experience in a law firm or legal setting, especially in estate or business planning, is beneficial.
